Google celebrating Mark Twain's birthday by Google Doodle

Mark Twain
Samuel Langhorne Clemens (1835 – 1910) most prominently known by his pen name Mark Twain would have enjoyed his 176th birthday today if he had been alive. So What! Google is doing the job by following up by celebrating Mark Twain's 176th birthday with a panoramic Doodle depicting one of the most famous characters he created, Tom Sawyer.

"I came in with Halley's Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year, and I expect to go out with it," Twain wrote in his autobiography. "It will be the greatest disappointment of my life if I don't go out with Halley's Comet. The Almighty has said, no doubt: 'Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.'"

Indeed, Twain died the day after the next Halley's Comet passing, named after astronomer Edmond Halley. The "freaks" were reunited by Google, though unfortunately the Halley's Comet Doodle only appeared in the UK, whereas Twain's Tom Sawyer Doodle appeared globally on Google's homepage today. The panoramic doodle of Tom getting others to do his work captures a Norman Rockwell like view of America. Tom's whitewashed fence is also a telling Google Doodle, as it captures how Google loves having others help them do their work.

It is really a thingking by google for a man who was more than modern by his time. Many think Twain was like Hank Morgan, the visitor from the future in "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court." A consummate early adopter, Twain was among the first writers to use a typewriter. He also boasted that he was the first person in his part of New England to have a telephone in his house. If Mark Twain were alive today, he'd be using the voice command feature on his iPhone to update his Twitter feed while riding in a Google-piloted Tesla Roadster. Hope that his birthday would be the begining of lots of more most modern Mark Twains.

"Stoner": Miley Cyrus branded herself with it on her birth day party

Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana, Miley Ray Cyrus has reached her 19 on November 23, 2011. She made a startling confession at her birthday party at Beacher's Madhouse inside L.A.'s Roosevelt Hotel Tuesday branding herself a 'stoner.' This 19-year-old MTV Movie Award for Best Song from a Movie and kids choice and Teen choice award winner star joked that she smokes "way too much weed" -- slang for marijuana -- when her pals presented with a Bob Marley birthday cake.

"This is amazing. You know you're a stoner when your friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much [expletive] weed," Cyrus said in the video which is widely circulated during the weekend. "I thought salvia was your problem, man," Kelly Osbourne, 27, said. referring to an incident in which Cyrus was photographed smoking the herb, which can have hallucinogenic effects, out of a bong at her 18th birthday party.

In 2010 Miley was captured on camera smoking out of a bong which she denied at the time was marijuana. She instead claimed that she was smoking the legal hallucinogen, salvia. However, her rep insisted Miley was joking: 'It's all been taken out of context. The cake was a joke and Miley's response was intended to be sarcastic.' Kelly who is singer's rep and host of the party later took to her Twitter page to defend Miley, saying that it was all a joke.

"Let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her Bob Miley as a JOKE! the cake was also A JOKE! it makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not!" Osbourne said in her online message. "u guys if @MileyCyrus is not recording/filming/touring she works everyday how could she possible do all that if she was a stoner! #think"

Whatever! the most important thing about her is that we see her supporting 'Occupy Wall Street' in her new remix song “Liberty Walk” that features footage from the ongoing protest.

Andre Johnson is back in the starting lineup for Texans

Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson is officially back in the starting lineup for the Houston Texans to play for the first time in almost two months. Currently ranks first all-time in NFL history Johnson has been in uniform Sunday for Houston's road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He missed six games with a hamstring injury. It's the most time he has missed in a season since 2007.

Getting Johnson back is huge for the Texans since they are without starting quarterback Matt Schaub for the rest of the year and due to injury and are going with Matt Leinart.  "It's been good for the team just to have him back out here," Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said Friday. "I can see how hungry he is to get back to being a part of what's going on."

"He's practiced good this week. You all know what Andre means to this team and for him to be putting the uniform on again on Sunday, he hasn't done it in a while, so it will mean a lot to the team." His coming back again is certainly a good news for the team and for his fans as well.

Rahm Israel Emanuel's attack on his front runner Republican Mitt Romney

Emanuel VS Romney
The 55th and current Mayor of Chicago and former White House chief of staff Rahm Israel Emanuel bitterly criticized his front runner Republican Mitt Romney while addressing a group of Iowa Democrats at Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Des Moines on November 19. Emanuel claimed that Romney "turns a blind eye" to the middle class, while offering a spirited defense of President Obama's re-election efforts.

Emanuel proved he hasn’t lost touch with the take-no-prisoners style of politics that won him the nickname “Rahmbo,” opening fire early at the entire field of potential Obama challengers, several of whom gathered hours earlier for a conservative forum just blocks away. “I’ve watched a number of them, and I’ve got to be honest, I never thought I’d say this,” said Emanuel, his words dripping with sarcasm, “I’m beginning to miss Sarah Palin’s insights.” "Mitt Romney says he's a man of steadiness and consistency," Emanuel added. "And if that's true, then I'm a linebacker for the Chicago Bears." "Regardless of the personalities, all of them are espousing the same policies that have been tried before and led to the present economic situation that the president inherited in 2009," Emanuel said. "Not one of them have had a new idea that's different than was tried."

He said on ABC's "This Week," that Romney has "revealed himself" as someone who doesn't take the values of all voters into account. "I believe as the campaign continues, more and more people will see who he's willing to stand for,"

Michelle Williams plays Marilyn Monroe: the latest one to play the role.

The WB television teen drama "Dawson's Creek"(1998-2003) star Michelle Williams plays the role of Marilyn Monroe in the indie film "My Week with Marilyn," which hit the theaters on November 23. The film is based on Colin Clark's book named My Week With Marilyn and chronicles his time spent working with Monroe while she was in England shooting the romantic comedy "The Prince and the Showgirl" in 1956.

"I padded myself some," Williams told OnTheRedCarpet.com of trying to become Marilyn Monroe for the role. "I never really thought about how there are just some distances that I will never be able to cross. I can't restructure my face completely. I can't grow a few inches. I can't dictate with the weight I gain where it will land, so I have to accept that there are certain ways we are never going to meet and I have to satisfy myself with going after her essences."

Michelle Williams is the last but not the least actress to take on the challenging role of playing Marilyn Monroe. The actresses include Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd, Barbara Niven, Poppy Montgomery, Sophie Monk, Charlotte Sullivan, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole KidmanAnna Nicole Smith etc.

Mark Jenkins, American artist most widely known for the street installations he creates using box sealing tape at the Washington Post, writes: “Williams’s Monroe is more vital than anything else. The actress captures Monroe’s range of emotions and personae, her shifts from vulnerability to brashness.” Roger Ebert writes: “What matters is the performance by Michelle Williams. She evokes so many Marilyns, public and private, real and make-believe. We didn’t know Monroe, but we believe she must have been something like this.” Williams is currently shooting the fantasy film "Oz: The Great and Powerful" and it will be released on March 8, 2013.

NFL QB Kyle Orton signed with Kansas City Chief.

NFL Quarterback of Kyle Orton signed with AFC West divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs after he had been released from the Benver Broncos. Orton was released by the Broncos on Tuesday, six weeks after he was benched following a 1-4 start. The former Chicago Bears starter, who passed for 3,000 yards each of his first two seasons in Denver, became expendable when the Broncos opted to go with Tim Tebow as
their starter.

The Chiefs will be responsible for approximately $2.5 million remaining on Orton’s nearly $8.9 million salary this season, but they had plenty of space under the salary cap to make the move. Several other teams were interested, including the Bears, but Kansas City was highest in the order of waiver priority. He's expected to report today, though it's unlikely he'll be ready to start Sunday against Pittsburgh. Good luck Kyle.

Jennifer Hudson: Could have been killed but her fiance made the differece

Third season of American Idol finalist 2004 and Oscar, Grammy-winning singer Jennifer Hudson said that she could have been a victim in the gruesome murder and credited her friend David Otunga for saving her life on the day her mother, brother and nephew were murdered.

On Oct. 24, 2008, Hudson's 57-year-old mother, Darnell Donnerson, and 29-year-old brother, Jason Hudson, were found shot to death inside the Chicago home Donnerson shared with the singer's older sister, Julia. Julia's son, seven-year-old Julian, was reported missing after the crime and was found dead three days later. Julia's estranged husband, William Balfour, has been charged with the murders.

Hudson said in an interview for the December/January issue of Ebony, "I could have been home with my mom then." "I flew out to see him; that's why I'm still here." Hudson said that her fiancé, David Otunga, kept her out of Chicago by asking her to visit him in Florida in October 2008, when he was participating in an event for World Wrestling Entertainment. It was during that time that the tragic gory incident happened.

The 30-year-old singer got engaged to WWE wrestler and Harvard Law School graduate David Otunga, 31, in September 2008, the couple has yet to announce a wedding date and welcomed their son David Daniel Otunga Jr. on August 10, 2009. She is now filming "The Three Stooges" which will be released in 2012.

Megyn Kelly is facing serious criticism for her comment on pepper spray

American journalist and news anchor of the Fox News Channel Megyn Kelly is facing serious criticism as she made some comments on Bill O'Reilly's show on November 22 regarding the recent pepper spray assault on students at the UC Davis campus. She said that  the pepper spray used on the UC Davis protesters is essentially "a food product," an online petition has popped up asking her to test it out. The petition, organized by New York resident Nick Douglas, challenges Kelly to "eat or drink a full dose of pepper spray on national television."

It also states, "To back up your claim that pepper spray is a food product, please consume as much of it as was sprayed on each protestor's (sic) face, in one sitting, on camera at Fox News. You may mix the spray with one serving of food or drink, as I am not a sadist. Then, please relate the effects to your audience."

This ridiculous comment by Kelly has caused people to challenge her to undergo a good spraying to see how well she literally eats her words. She might also believe mustard gas goes well with hot dogs, ketchup is a vegetable, and Fruit of the Loom garments grow on trees.

Michelle Parker, the missing mom, still not found: search going on

Michelle Parker of Orlando, Fla., disappeared Thursday November 17 after she had appeared on "The People's Court" for a settlement of dispute with her ex-fiance, who is the father of her twin children. She went missing on the day her episode was aired. Their feud is about resolving a dispute about the $5,000 engagement ring that Parker, 32, allegedly drunkenly threw over a hotel balcony during an argument. She was last seen dropping off the couple's twins at Smith's home. Her truck was found abandoned a day later. Parker also filed a case for domestic violence with children against Smith.

Orlando Police Chief Paul Rooney today met with the family of Michelle Parker and  told them bringing the missing woman home safely is his agency's top priority. "I wanted to tell them face-to-face that this is my No.1 priority," Rooney said. "I'm not worried about overtime or extended resources."

Police this morning released a new photograph of missing mother Michelle Parker wearing a cross necklace and asked anyone who has seen the necklace to report it to police. Authorities say Parker was last heard from Thursday when a text message from her still-missing iPhone indicated she was in the Waterford Lakes area. Her Hummer sport-utility vehicle was found Friday on Orlando's west side.

Vanessa Minnillo has taken her husband Nick Lachey's surname.

American television personality, model and presenter Vanessa Minnillo dropped her last name and taken her husband Nick Lachey's surname. Her name is now, therefore, Venessa Lachey. The 31-year-old reality star even changed her Twitter username recently and said: "So.... I'm making it official, and I LOVE my 'new name!'". "@VanessaLachey.... has a nice ring to it ;-)."

The "Wipeout" hostess married Nick Lachey, former 98 Degrees singer, host of the NBC reality show "The Sing-Off" and ex-husband of singer Jessica Simpson, in July. She might be inspired by the instance that in September, "Dancing With The Stars" host Brooke Burke announced she was officially taking on her husband David Carvet's last name.

The newlywed -- who describes herself as a "host by day, wifey by night, wanna-be mommy all the time" in her Twitter profile -- recently purchased a home in in Encino, Calif. with her husband and working on filling up their new Encino mansion with a family as soon as possible.

Robert Pattinson believes that he can stay young by acting.

Edward Cullen of recent installment of "Twilight Saga, "Breaking Dawn: Part 1," Robert Pattinson believes that he can stay young by acting. English actor Robert Pattinson, 25, says it's great being an actor because he doesn't have to grow up like people with other careers. He said: "I'm living a life I didn't really know existed and I can kind of delay being an adult for a while! It's fun. I get to meet really interesting people who think they are making something great."

He most recently played Edward Cullen, the love interest of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), in the most recent installment of the "Twilight Saga," "Breaking Dawn - Part 1." He is now looking forward to starting a new chapter in his career and  was shooting upcoming movie 'Cosmopolis' with the renowned filmmaker in the summer. He  told website MovieFanatic.com: "I just worked with David Cronenberg on 'Cosmopolis' and just to see him, he's left alone by everyone because he's proved himself time and time again. But I mean, it's really strange, I've never really worked with someone with absolutely no pressure from anywhere else apart from themselves and from the environment which they've chosen to work in. And it's kind of nice to know that the pressure is not caused by compromises or anything like that, it's just they've taken a responsibility on themselves and it's really up to them to make it what they want."

On November 18, he holds his Lebkuchenherz at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 in Berlin, Germany. After the red carpet event and presentation, he joined costar Taylor Lautner and friends for a bite to eat at Bocca di Bacco before heading to Bar 1000.

Jordy Nelson : the most underrated wide receiver in football.

Jordy Nelson is one of the most underrated wide receivers in football, regardless of the color of his skin (he is white). He believes his race is a large part of his success, and the reason is not what you might be thinking.

Speaking to the Green Bay Press Gazette Nelson said, "Honestly, I think it is (a factor), "As receivers, we've talked about it. I know [Packers cornerbacks coach] Joe Witt tells me all the time, when all the rookies come in, he gives them the heads up, 'Don't let him fool ya.' That's fine with me."

Nelson, who has quickly become one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets especially in the wake of an impressive Super Bowl performance, continues to impress his teammates. "However you want to put it, he's taken full advantage of it," Jennings said. "It's not because he didn't put the time in. It's not because he's the white guy. A lot of it has to do with the fact that guys look at him and say, 'OK, yeah, he's the white guy, he can't be that good.' Well, he is that good. He's proven to be that good, and it's because of the work and the time that he's put in not only on the field but in his preparation off the field."
